Minister S P Velumani lauded the movement that was launched on August 3, to raise awareness for the development of agroforestry. He said that the Kudimaramathu project was well received by the farmers and added that it was a matter of pride that Sadhguru resides in Coimbatore and has gone to many other states for raising awareness on restoring rivers.

"This project will be successful if people are together. We are ready to provide even five crore tree saplings on behalf of the Department of Local Government for the 'Cauvery Calling' project and will help in simplifying the procedure needed to grant permission to grow trees," reiterated S P Velumani.

Minister S P Velumani asked the people to bear with the traffic congestion caused due to bridge construction work taking place in the city and noted that the design work of the 9.5 km bridge on Avinashi road was over and very soon construction work will begin. He also added that the airport expansion work would commence soon.
