Leaking of question papers ahead of the exams in TN has become a regular phenomenon in recent times to the great alarm of educationists and parents.
All over Tamil Nadu, the students of class 10, 11 and 12 are busy preparing for quarterly exams which are being held between September 12 to 23.
While Class 10 and 12 exams are being conducted in the morning, the class 11 exams are being held in the forenoon.
In a shocking incident in Coimbatore, the question paper for Class 11 Commerce paper that was held yesterday was leaked one day prior to the exam through the Share chat app.
The students who had access to the leaked question paper downloaded it and sent it across to all the fellow students through Whatsapp groups.
Shockingly enough the leaked question paper turned out to be the exact replica of the real question paper distributed on the day of examination.
Even though the students were seen jumping in joy, as they were well prepared to answer all the questions, the present scenario is such that the students might have already stopped studying their books but expect the social media for their “answers”.
Prasad, a private school teacher, opined that these illegal apps have been a bane for the future of the students. The Apps indeed put their future at stake. There is a good chance that the students might become a slave to the people who leak the question papers and would be ready to pay any amount of money.
He also opined that there are high chances for the student to support for other unlawful activities in the future if the present situation continues.
"As a teacher, I see the release of question paper before exams, as a bad example. Releasing question papers before the exams would limit the thoughts of the students and provoke them to believe in shortcuts to success", Prasad added.
"As a teacher, I see the release of question paper before exams, as a setting up of very bad example for the student community. Releasing question papers before the exams would limit the studiousness of the students and will make them to believe in shortcuts to success", Prasad added.
He noted that the students should use their fairmindedness and honesty for good and should not to resort to short cuts to score good marks in exams.
Medical Practitioners have also expressed their concern that the future of the students would be at stake if question papers are leaked at this rate.
Citing a recent incident, Dr Soundaravel, Resident Medical Officer of Coimbatore Medical College Hospital said "The leak of question papers before the exams destroy the very objective of succeeding in life in a fairway. Moreover, it might expose and introduce the students to short cuts. The students might in due course, instead of devoting himself to studies would be ready to pay for such leaked question papers to high marks".
This might also turn out to be a bane for the student community who are really working hard to come up in life.
Educationalist have jointly urged the Government to take stringent action against the elements who leak the question papers.

They have also expressed deep concern that if unaddressed, this unethical practice will turn detrimental to students in the days to come. The State education department would also in a position where its functions would be crippled and benchmark standards not maintained.
