The Government's decision did not go well with many political party leaders and various other organisations who voiced their dissent against the decision.
Meanwhile, condemning the Government's decision, 20 members of the All India Youth Federation and 30 members of the Campus Front of India laid siege to the Chief Educational Office and staged a protest, demanding that the Government withdraw the announcement.
All 50 protesters were arrested by the police.
