Hence, we have signed an agreement with those universities, in a bid to adopt such state-of-the-art techniques in the veterinary park to be built in Salem", said Udumalai Radhakrishnan, Minister for animal husbandry at an event held in Tirupur on Monday.
He also added that soon, a team of professors and students from New Zealand and Australia will inspect the area and also conduct research.
The Minister apprised that a University in Sydney has agreed to set up a research centre in Tamil Nadu and is also ready to spend Rs. 2 crore for the same.
When questioned on cable operators demanding extra money across Tamil Nadu, he said, "Around 21,000 cable operators use government's signal to telecast channels and 6000 cable operators use private companies' signals. Tamil Nadu government aims to provide the public with the lowest cost possible and there are no two ways about it."
Earlier, the Minister participated in the event of handing over mobile phones to Anganwadi workers in Tirupur.
