Coimbatore : Around 220 students from the Hindustan College of Arts and Science rallied more than three kilometers in an attempt to create awareness about the depleting ozone layer.
Coimbatore : Around 220 students from the Hindustan College of Arts and Science rallied more than three kilometers in an attempt to create awareness about the depleting ozone layer.
The event that was carried as a part of the International Day for the Preservation of Ozone Layer saw participation from students including the Post Graduation of Social Work along with National Service Scheme and Youth Red Cross of the college.
According to organisers, the students rallied from the college upto Meena Estate and returned to the campus through the Hindustan School.
They raised slogans and carried banners to create awareness among general public.
The rally was inaugurated by A. Ponnusamy, Principal of the College. He later spoke to the students about the importance of protecting the ozone layer and motivated the students to take responsibility in reducing global warming.
