The Chairman of K G Foundation, Dr. G Bakthavathsalam presided over the award function and Madathipathi of Varahi Peetham, Sri Varahi Guruji and the Chief Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Transport Department, Dr. Radha Krishanan were the special guests at the awards function.
This year's receipients of the 'Dynamic Indian of Millenium' are Dr. Paul Dinakaran, Dr. Rajagopal, the President of Indian Statistical Institute, Dr. Mirudhubashini, Dr. Madhavan Azhagarsamy, Dr. S Ganapathi Ramanan, Dr. G Manoj Matwani, Dr. B Durga Prasad Reddy and Dr. Alphonse Mariadoss.
The 'Doctor of Excellence' and 'India's Patriotic Heroes' awards were bestowed upon Central Reserve Police Force, Rapid Action Force, Border Security Force, Navy, Army and Air Force by Dr. G Bhaktavathsalam.
