Coimbatore: With an aim to bring together all Shirdi Sai devotees across the State under one roof, a religious organisation named 'Sri Sae Seva Parivar' was launched in the city on Sunday.
Coimbatore: With an aim to bring together all Shirdi Sai devotees across the State under one roof, a religious organisation named 'Sri Sae Seva Parivar' was launched in the city on Sunday.
The flag of the Parivar was also introduced on the occasion of the launch function in the presence of V. Shanmuganathan, ex-Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Meghalaya.
Vanathi Srinivasan, General Secretary of TN Bharatiya Janata Party, was the guest of honour and Chennai Sai Padha Meyyadimai, Vibhoothi Siddhar delivered the benedictory address.
Commenting on the event, Dr. Preethi Lakshmi, General secretary of the women’s wing of the Parivar, said "The aim of launching the Sri Sae Seva Parivar is to integrate all Shirdi Sai devotees across the state and bring them under a single roof. The Parivar would offer financial assistance to new Sai temples coming up in the State and provide welfare assistance to people at the lower ring of the society".
She also added that the Parivar would facilitate and help elderly and economically weaker people, desiring to visit Shirdi, free of cost.
Sai Senthilkumar, Founder President of Sri Sae Seva Parivar presided over the event. Sai Kavitha, women’s wing president of the Parivar and treasurer Sampath offered felicitations. G Dharmendra, state president of Sri Sae Seva Parivar welcomed the gathering.
