Vijayankanth, President of DMDK who has been undergoing treatment for various health issues in the US returned to Chennai, recently. As his party is geared to celebrate 'Mupperum Vizha' tomorrow in Tirupur to commemorate Arignar Anna's birth anniversary, Vijayakanth along with his wife Premalatha and Son arrived in Tirupur on Saturday evening.
He was given a resounding welcome by his party cadres. Earlier, tense moments prevailed in Tirupur - Kangeyam road, after the Corporation officials demanded to remove all flex banners that were erected on behalf of DMDK cadres.
