Coimbatore : MLA N.Karthik of DMK inaugurated the membership drive for the enrolment of new members into the DMK youth wing in the city.
Udayanidhi Stalin, Secretary of DMK Youth Wing, has earlier directed for holding such camps all over the state.
On behalf of the DMK Youth Wing, camps were held at different places in the city. While Youth Wing Organizer Elango led the camp at Singanallur bus stand, District Organizer Kottai Abbas led the camp near Puliakulam Periyar Statue.
Similarly, the membership camp was held at six other locations in Avarampalayam, Ganapathy, Vadavalli Bus stand, Ukkadam bus stand led by the Deputy Organizers of the youth wing.
While briefing the media, MLA N. Karthik said that based on the orders by Udayanidhi Stalin, DMK Youth Wing Secretary, a drive to enrol new members for the youth wing would be organised throughout the state.
“Thousands of youth would be enrolled in the youth wing during the current drive”. Karthik added.
