The motorists riding from Kotagiri to Mettupalayam parked their vehicles to click pictures of the elephants.
After there was a disruption of traffic for almost two hours, the elephants slowly gallavanted back to the forest areas. The public have appealed to the Forest Department to have a constant patroling of these areas to curb elephants from straying onto roads.
