The Nilgiris : A one-day old male infant was found abandoned in the bushes, in Manjanakorai near Ooty.
Reeta, a resident in the area heard a baby crying near the bushes and on searching she was shocked to find a newborn male infant lying abandoned in the bushes. She immediately cleaned the baby and took him to the Government Hospital.
The doctors examined the baby and found that the baby was healthy. Basic medical aid is being administered to the baby.
The Ooty police have registered a case and investigation is on.
