Tirupur : Hindu Munnani State President, Kadeswara Subramaniam complained to the police urging them to initiate action against those protestors who created a ruckus during the Vinayagar immersion procession.
Addressing the media, Kadeswara Subramaniam said, "Over 1.5 lakh Vinayagar statues were sanctified across Tamil Nadu and Vinayagar Chathurthi was celebrated with much fervour. But a few protesters with a 'Naxal mindset' tried to create a commotion during the procession but the public retaliated in good measure. I am asking the Police Department to take action against these protesters who created a ruffle."
He added that the Hindu Munnani would take part in the protest by the Secular Democratic Front against the downfall of industries in Tirupur. The Hindu Munnani State President also alleged that the DMK had extended help and were offering a hideout for terrorists.
