Tirupur : The CB-CID arrested two lawyers on Wednesday for attempting to defraud a man of his property by using a forged document.
Mathiyazhagan, a resident of Dharapuram, Tirupur district had complained a few years earlier to the Tirupur District Crime Branch that his father's properties in various places in Tirupur had been defrauded by a few men who had forged document orders from the Karnataka Civil Court. The District Crime Branch police were investigating the case.
Thereon, the case was transferred to CB-CID in 2015 who conducted a series of inquiries regarding the case and arrested Senior Advocate Ramasamy (78) and his Assistant Advocate Janardhanan (34), who are residents of Dharapuram. The CB-CID stated, "Two lawyers are arrested in this regard and have been brought to the Tirupur Chief Criminal Court at the first stage. One of the arrested, Ramasamy complained of chest pain and has been admitted in the Tirupur GH where he is being treated."
