At a media briefing, Nellai Mubarak slammed the centre for being silent and pretending to be normal over the pressing economic crisis. "While the economy has plunged into a deep gorge, the Centre should devise plans to recover the economy instead of pretending to be normal", he alleged.
He also apprised that on behalf of SDPI a series of meetings will be held across the State to discuss on the economic crisis.
Nellai Mubarak also questioned on the transfer of the Madras High Court Chief Justice, Tahilramani to Meghalaya which he claimed to have caused a credibility crisis. He alleged that his transfer is a result of the pressure by the centre.
Commending CM's recent visit to countries seeking investments, the SDPI State Head said "New foreign investments to Tamil Nadu would boost the economy here."
