Moorthy (40) is a resident of Chettipalayam, Palladam, and Tirupur. He went to a TASMAC shop operating in the same area this morning to buy liquor. But as he did not have sufficient money, he was denied the liquor by the TASMAC shop employee.
In a fit of rage, Moorthy attacked himself with the empty liquor bottles and threatened to commit suicide if he was not provided with free liquor.
The TASMAC employee informed the Palladam police about the incident who rushed to the spot.
"I lost all my family property due to liquor, now these people are not even giving me one bottle of liquor” lamented Moorthy in blood oozing state.
Palladam Sub Inspector Vijayakumar arranged for first aid in an ambulance and warned the tippler.
