Over a thousand students study at the Corporation Palaniammal Girls Higher Secondary school in Tirupur.
It is alleged that though the free laptops have arrived at the school, only a few students have been distributed with free laptops, while others have been left out.
When the other students demanded for their laptops, they have been asked to wait on the premise that the old students, who have finished their plus two are also waiting for their laptops.
Unable to bear the insult, the old and the current batch students who have been left out of the scheme have laid siege to the school.
However, the students dispersed after the School Principal assured them that the laptops would be distributed to all students without any backlog in a week’s time.
