The team of volunteers cleared two rainwater drainage canals. It is to be noted that team Target Zero have thus far cleaned 40 rainwater drainage canals along the road to Valparai, as part of their fieldwork. Karthik, who works as Manager in New India Insurance is also a volunteer friend of Target Zero. He had brought 500 seed balls of Delonix regia (pink glory), vembu tree, Bamboo, Vaagai which were sprinkled along the path, even as they cleaned up the area.
To raise awareness about the raging fires in the Amazon forest, the seed balls were captioned 'Save Amazon.' "On behalf of Team Target Zero, we sprinkled new seeds in areas here that were destroyed by forest fires Similar fieldwork will be done every weekend and those interested can join us to be part of the change for the next generation," urged a Target Zero volunteer.
