Tirupur : In a gruesome incident, a 22-year-old man allegedly stabbed his mother to death in Tirupur on Monday.
It is reported that the son has been frequently tussling with his mother for money and had not been going to work.
Arokiamary (45) has been running a knit wear company on Maniakaarampalayam - Kasipalayam road in Tirupur. After her husband's death four years back, she along with her son and two daughters were living at the first floor of their garment company. While, one of her daughter is married and another daughter has been working in an IT firm in Coimbatore. And, Arokiamary was staying with her son Harshith (22).
On Monday, as the workers heard Arokiamary cry for help, they immediately rushed upstairs to rescue her. They were left in shock as she was battling for her life in a pool of blood with multiple cuts in her body. And her son, Harshith was seen crying at the corner of the crime spot.
The workers immediately alerted the police and attempted to shift her to hospital. However, she passed away.
The police rushed to the spot and arrested Harshith who allegedly stabbed his mother to death. Police stated that Harshith was a mentally disturbed person and has been torturing his mother for money.
