Expressing her views on the topic "Balance between technology and real life", at the Monday Musings by Coimbatore Management Association (CMA) held at PSG Institute of Management, here on Monday, Vaishnavee Balaji, Founder of NGO, Food Bank stressed 'Technology is important in life but technology alone is not life.'
Throwing light on the implications of addictiveness towards technology, she said "Content available in social media is limitless. People, especially young minds should be wise enough to differentiate between the right and wrong."
"No doubt, social media and technology is a boon to us. But sadly, people get addictive and detach themselves from real life and nature", opined Vaishnavee.
She also touched base on 'harassment'and told the audience how social media has become a tool for harassments. "Students should be vigilant and keep in mind the the risks involved in using social media irresponsibly", added Vaishnavee who has been conducting classes for students on good and bad touch.
Students from DJ Academy, the PSG Institute of Management and other 'student chapter' colleges attended the event which also included a special interactive session with the guest.
