Tirupur: Police have arrested four persons in connection with the sensational murder of a DMK student wing leader Balamurugan from Aruljothi Nagar in Tirupur.
Tirupur: Police have arrested four persons in connection with the sensational murder of a DMK student wing leader Balamurugan from Aruljothi Nagar in Tirupur.
The deceased held a position in the student wing and was running a finance company when he was hacked to death in broad daylight a few days back.
Balamurugan was hacked to death by a three-member gang which attacked him and fled in a two-wheeler. The incident took place on August 1.
The North police who investigated the case got a tip-off that the gang which involved in the murder was staying in a friend's house in Vijayapuram, Tirupur.
A special team of police rounded up the house and arrested all the four accused person from their hideout.

The arrested were identified as Vighneshwaran from Susaiyapuram, Nandhakumar from Rayapuram Military colony, and Muthukumar from Pattukottai Thanjavur, Udayakumar from Lakshmipuram, Chrompet, and Chennai.
During the investigation it was revealed that Vignesh along with his friends had plotted the murder of Balamurugan over financial issues.
The arrested were produced before the court in the evening and were remanded in judicial custody.
