Tirupur : According to a press release issued today, Raja M Shanmugham, the President of TEA met with Ravi Kapoor, Textile Secretary in New Delhi on Monday, to discuss on the implementation modalities, course design, scope and breadth of the upskilling component under the Samarth Scheme to focus on improving the overall productivity by bench marking with industry best practices.

Raja M Shanmugham stated that after discussing on the skill-related procedures, he appealed for early reimbursement of ROSL and RoSCTL pending claims, ATUFs and previous MTUFs, RTUFs and RRTUFs subsidy to meet the exporting units financial requirements. He also advocated for removal of the concerned genuine exporting units from the Risky Exporters category and help them continue to receive drawback and IGST claims.
Raja M Shanmugham appreciated the Textile Secretary's patient hearing and stated that he had assured to address the issues expediently and aid the growth of Tirupur Knitwear exporting units.
