Coimbatore: A meeting of the DMK Student Wing's Regional and Zonal Heads, and Deputy Heads was organised today at the DMK District Headquarters in Vadakovai, Coimbatore. The meeting was headed by the District Trustee MLA N Karthik.

The DMK State Student Wing Deputy Secretary, Mahesh Poyyamozhi stated at the meeting that Kongu Zone was the reason for DMK being dethroned in Tamil Nadu. "Hence, it is only fitting to start searching where we lost. I am here to guide you on the right path. The DMK Student Wing needs to work along with the party and heed the advice of senior leaders. 30 lakh youth should be added to the party. The membership campaign needs to take place in all 234 constituencies across Tamil Nadu. The Student Wing also needs to take part in social activities and should ensure posters educate the public about our activities," reiterated Mahesh Poyyamozhi.
He further added saying, "With elections around the corner we need to start working from today with an aim to make M K Stalin take up the reins again." The agenda of the meeting included felicitating the new Student Wing Secretary, Udayanidhi Stalin, Mahesh Poyyamozhi and the Kongu Zone Secretary, adding new members to the Student Wing with the help of the Trustees, conducting pastoral meetings and taking several other decisions.
The DMK Vice President of Security Council, Pongalur Na Palanisamy, District Student Wing Head Kottai Abbas, Thalapathi Ilango, MLA K V Sezhiyan, District Liability Committee members Nachimuthu, Metal Mani, Nandakumar, Kuppusamy, Area Corporation Secretary, Kovai Loku, Trustees of the area, Sethuraman, Shanmugasundaram and Govindaraj, members of the General Committee, MU Murugan, Makudapathy, Deepa, Rajarajeswari and several others were also present.
