Coimbatore: In view of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival celebrations, a "Ganapathi Homam" was performed at about 3 am in the Arulmigu Eachanari Vinayagar Temple situated in Pollachi Road, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: In view of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival celebrations, a "Ganapathi Homam" was performed at about 3 am in the Arulmigu Eachanari Vinayagar Temple situated in Pollachi Road, Coimbatore.
The devotees thronged the 200- year old temple to offer the prayers to the elephant-headed God Lord Ganesh.

At 6 am in the morning, Lord Ganesh was decorated, and “deeparadhana “was performed in which thousands of devotees took part and worshiped the foremost of the Gods.
The temple administration organised popular rituals including Ganapathi Homam, Abhishekham, Alankara Deeparadhana, Uchikala Puja, Maha Annadhanam and golden chariot worship.

Additional police forces have been deployed in Eachanari Vinayagar Temple, Puliakulam Mundhi Vinayagar Temple, Marudhamalai and Koniamman temple.
Other famous temples in the city have also been brought under the three-tier police protection.
