Coimbatore: The NSS and NCC wings of PSG College of Arts & Science organised a green drive in the campus on August 30.
The students discarded their plastic pens and were distributed with metal refill ink pens.
Dr D. Brindha, Principal of PSGCAS, distributed cloth bags that were stitched by the Department of Costume Design and Fashion to the faculty members and students.
It is to be noted that the College has already banned Single-use Plastic and as a step ahead, students’ signature and hand print campaign was organized.
"This is mainly to sensitize more than twelve thousand students on the campus to banish single-use pen and plastic pens. The students were asked to replace their plastic lunch and bottle wares with stainless steel products. Also, the students were provided with seed balls and saplings". said.
