"As a part of the celebration of PM Modi's birthday in September, it is decided to organise a short film competition for college students" she said
A press conference was held regarding the same in Public Service Center in Gandhipuram.

"Various colleges from Tamil Nadu are participating in this contest. Short films made by college students from over 250 colleges will be shortlisted, and a panel of film makers including
Kasthuri Raja, Producer Gnanavel Raja and Actress and Director Madhuvanthi Arun will select the winng entries.
A circular has been sent to all colleges and the central theme of the short film is " Changes in people's lives through welfare programs of Prime Minister Modi".
The short films should be between 2 to 5 minutes. The participants can be ateam of 3 to 20 students. Interested participants should submit the film by 10th of September to the Public Service Center. It will also provide an opportunity for students to explore the creative potential
The first prize will be Rs 50,000 and the second prize will be Rs 25,000, and the third prize is Rs 10,000.
Also, Rs 5,000 will be awarded to the special prize for the best team, Rs 5,000 for the best motion picture, Rs 5,000 for the best cinematography, Rs 5,000 for the best actor and certificates will be issued for all the participants.
