Hugz is an app using which people can send real life treats and gifts to their friends, family and colleagues in real time
"The idea was born when we were working at Hubfly. We had instances when our employees would go the extra mile like taking US customer calls late in the night or working the weekend to complete a tight deadline. In instances like that we wanted to say thank you with a treat but there was no option other than giving them cash or gift vouchers which we felt was not as personal as gifting an ice cream for example." said Mr Suprej Venkat, Co-Founder, Hugz
Hugz, is designed to gift a treat of couple of ice creams to employees to show that they appreciate the small things that they do and they can redeem the ice cream at any participating outlet of their choice.
Hugz is designed to be a kindness app through which people can show kindness by saying thank you, sorry or I miss you.
Along with the message they can attach a treat. Hugz aiming to be kind as a company had chosen to donate 1% of our revenue to ‘Make my wish’ for Critically ill Children.
The usage of the app can be limitless like gifting an hour's playtime to a kid at a play areas which he can redeem when he wishes to.
In the B2B side, Companies in Coimbatore to start with can automate gifting their employees using Hugz for their birthdays, festive occasions like Diwali, New Year etc.
The HR and Admin departments can schedule gifts to the respective employees for the occasions wherein employees will get these gifts via emails or SMS using which they can go to the respective partner outlets to redeem the gifts at a time and day of their choice.
"Within a month the app would be launched in Bangalore and subsequently launches in other metro cities would follow by mid of 2020" said Suprej Venkat
Hugz has also signed up with PVR Cinemas, the largest cinema chain in India. So users of Hugz can gift cinema tickets that can be redeemed pan India.
