Coimbatore: District Collector K Rajamani inaugurated the first Cricket Academy for youth in Karamadai in Coimbatore today. The cricket academy was inaugurated at the grounds of a private school in Karamadai, Mettupalayam for students who aspire to achieve in the game.
Coimbatore: District Collector K Rajamani inaugurated the first Cricket Academy for youth in Karamadai in Coimbatore today. The cricket academy was inaugurated at the grounds of a private school in Karamadai, Mettupalayam for students who aspire to achieve in the game.
The cricket academy is equipped with professional trainers and all facilities. TNPL cricket players Rajagopal Sathish and Arun Karthik were also present to inaugrate the academy. The District Collector later visited the Shooting Academy within the grounds.
The cricket academy is aimed to focus on batting, bowling, fielding, stress management on field, diet, exercise and all other aspects required for the game. The event organisers said, "We aim to encourage young talents and mould them into great players in cricket and also to establish a harmony amongst the players".
GST Commissioner Govindaraj, Vidya Vikas Institutions Secretary and Trustee Gunasekaran, Treasurer Singaravel, Director Suresh Kumar, Raju, Principal Narayanamoorthy and others were also present.
