According to GO 733 of the Revenue Department, re-survey work is being done across Tamil Nadu, using technologically-advanced methods like GPS and Total Station. As a part of this initiative, re-survey has been completed in Kavundampalayam.
The owners in the area are being issued new land survey documents according to the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923 under section 9(2). If there are any discrepancies, the owners have been asked to submit their applications for redressal with the Assistant Director of Land Survey Department at the District Collectorate with appropriate documents, layout plan and identity proof.
A press release issued by the District Collector states, "The landowners are asked to use this opportunity to submit a petition on any discrepancy along with supporting documents for quick resolution."
