Coimbatore: Joining hands with PM's newly launched 'Fit India Movement' which aims at encouraging people to give priority to sports and fitness, the National Service Scheme of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, organised 10,000 steps walk programmme which started from RI Building, TNAU, Coimbatore at 9.00 AM on Thursday.

Dr. M. Kalyanasundaram, Dean (Agriculture), Dr. L. Pugalendi, Dean (Horticulture), Dr. B. Sridhar, Dean (Agrl. Engg.), Dr. M.R. Backiyavathy, NSS Programme Coordinator, NSS Programme Officers, Director of Physical Education, Year coordinators, Staff Advisors, Faculty and 800 undergraduate students of all degree programmes participated in the programme.

Later, they watched the live telecast of Prime Minister's Fit India Launch Programme in Doordharshan Kendra at Anna Auditorium and they administered fitness pledge along with the PM.
