TiE was founded in 1992 by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives and senior professionals. There are currently more than 12,000 members and over 1,800 charter members in 61 chapters in 12 countries.
The event will be focussing on identifying, nurturing and mentoring women Entrepreneurs and for those who wish to become entrepreneurs.
“This is the first time that TiE Coimbatore is organising such a summit along with TN - EDII to reach out to aspiring women entrepreneurs in the state. This is a major step to give fillip to the empowerment of women in line with the national development agenda and start-up India initiatives. TiE continues to nurture, mentor and educate start-ups and scale-ups”, says Ms Hemalatha Annamalai President, TiE Coimbatore.
“Women's Summit 2019 promises to be an experience filled with inspiration, learning and networking wherein the best minds in the business will share their triumphs and tribulations, in the hope to encourage others to forge their own paths to economic, professional and personal success,” say the organizers.
S. Nagarajan IAS, Director of EDII, will be delivering the inaugural address followed by a special address by the District Collector K.Rajamani. Dr K. Malarmathi and B. Krishnamurthy's book on Women Entrepreneurship will be launched at the Summit.
V. Shankar and Mahavir Sharma will launch "TiE Angels in India's funding platform for investing in Start-Up's across India.
Social Entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganandam will deliver the keynote address "Beyond Women'. Vanitha Mohan, Chairperson, PRICOL Ltd will talk about Balancing Civic & Corporate Responsibilities, followed by CK Kumaravel, Co-Founder & CEO, of Naturals who will speak about "Empowering Women". Vijayalakshmi Rao, Mentor and Independent Consultant will shed light on "Trends in Women Entrepreneurship'.
There will be a panel discussion on Women Entrepreneurship: ‘Beyond Boundaries’ the moderator for the session will be the Director of Shanti Ashram, Kezevino Aram. The panel will consist of Additional Director, EDII, RV Shajeevana, Rural Entrepreneur Kalpana, Veena, Founder, Naturals, Advocate, Sadhana and Hemalatha Annamalai, CEO, Ampere Vehicles.
The last session of the day will be by Dr Usha Mohandas, CEO Wisdom Works, who will speak on ‘Women Beyond Stereotypes’.
