Over 20 tonnes of garbage from three zones in Tirupur is being dumped in the Muthalipalayam dump yard which is spread across 10 acres.
The fire reportedly broke out early this morning and over 10 firefighters with two fire engines are on the job to control the fire. The increased winds have reportedly led to a smoke cloud over an area of 3 km.
