Coimbatore : This Monday Musings, the weekly thought leadership session by Coimbatore Management Association (CMA) witnessed an interesting personality, Ravi Kumar, an Industrial Trainer, Environmentalist and General Manager- Operations at Roots Multiclean Limited, who in his address stressed that "Women are the real driving force behind the nation."
Coimbatore : This Monday Musings, the weekly thought leadership session by Coimbatore Management Association (CMA) witnessed an interesting personality, Ravi Kumar, an Industrial Trainer, Environmentalist and General Manager- Operations at Roots Multi-clean Limited, who in his address stressed that "Women are the real driving force behind the nation."
The discussion was focussed on the topic "The Paradox of Indian Economy" and was held at the PSG Institute of Management, Peelamedu here on Monday.
Mr. Ravi Kumar started his speech by throwing light on the state of Indian Economy post Independence, "Though there were some local economy pockets, the state of economy in independent India was appalling with widespread illiteracy and poverty. Literally, the Indian economy was in ground zero post-independence (the 1950s). It was legends like Sardar Vallabhai Patel who built a strong base to improve the nation's economical state, which until was surviving on rudimentary systems."
He also elucidated on our Indian economy by dividing them as two periods between 1950-1990 and from 1991 on wards till current date.
Lauding the women and calling them as the driving force in a family and the nation, Mr. Ravi Kumar advised the women to take up bigger roles instead of spending a major part of their time doing household chores. "Women are capable of handling the family solely. They plan for the future and pay attention towards saving. Truly, saving is the best principle which will save our economy during times ahead.”
The session turned to be very interactive with college students and business professionals sharing their opinions and posing queries.
