Coimbatore: Students of the Mettupalayam Forest College have totally dominated the Tamil Nadu Forest Range Officer examinations by winning 96 per cent of the total seats.
In the recently concluded results, as much as 158 candidates have cleared the examinations of which 152 are students of the Mettupalayam Forest College.
The exams were held last year to fill in vacancies of 158 ranger posts all across the State. As many as 250 students including men and women from the college participated in the exams.
Of the 152 who have cleared the exams, 102 are men and 50 are women. The results have brought about a huge smile on the faces of the teachers in the institution.
They said that considering the training offered for them at the college both practical and theoretical, it would be fitting that their students were selected for the job.
