25 temporary check posts have also been put in place across various locations in Coimbatore. All vehicles from Sulur are being thoroughly checked and only then allowed toward Coimbatore.
The West Zone IG Periaiah and SP Sujit Kumar visited Sulur Air Force station today to discuss security measures with the Air Force Commando. They were assured that security is on high alert and all safety measures are being taken. They also offered immediate support in all forms to ensure public safety, when necessary.
