District Collector inspects Pollachi Govt. Hospital

Coimbatore: The District Collector K Rajamani held a sudden inspection at the Pollachi Government Hospital, today. The Divisional Officer Ravikumar, the Government Hospital Superintendent Kalaiselvi, Tahsildhar Thanigaivel and other officials were also present.

Coimbatore: The District Collector K Rajamani held a sudden inspection at the Pollachi Government Hospital, today. The Divisional Officer Ravikumar, the Government Hospital Superintendent Kalaiselvi, Tahsildhar Thanigaivel and other officials were also present.

Addressing the media, the District Collector K Rajamani said, "Though the city is filled with hospitals and health centres, people prefer to go to Government Hospitals for treatment. That is the reason why the Government Hospitals are equipped with latest facilities to treat the public."

"To help those attending to the patient, water and sanitation facilities have been made available at the Pollachi Government Hospital. The ongoing construction work being done from the MLA Developmental Fund at a budget of 15 lakhs will be completed soon," he added.

The District Collector noted that 1200-1750 out patients visit the Pollachi Government Hospital, every day. "To aid the health of the public, the maternity ward and cardiology ward are well-equipped. Proper procedures to carry out treatment under the Chief Minister's health cover are also being done," he added.

K Rajamani stated that even though the Government invests in implementing the best schemes in hospitals, the officials, nurses and other employees need to ensure that the public is benefited through their benevolent service. Thereafter, he interacted with the patients and public about the facilities in the hospital and received petitions for improvement. He also discussed with the doctors about the infrastructural facilities and the required equipment in the hospital.
