When few officials of the defence factory tried to go to work, the labourers stopped them which created a flutter.
The police reached the spot immediately and the officials had to give up their bid.

Over 2000 employees are working in the Aruvankadu Ordnance factory and they have been engaging in protests for the past few days against privatization bid.
. The trader unions like DFLU, CFLU, NEW have called for the month-long strike from August 20 to September 19. And this has severely affected the manufacture of defence material.
