Tamil Nadu Farmers Association President S. Palanisamy who submitted a petition to the Chief minister Edapdai Palanisamy at the city airport during transit recently urged for the evacuation of the encroachments on the Noyyal banks occurring in the 147 km stretch through Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, and also urged him to appoint a Special Officer for the restoration of the Noyyal River.
"The CM has assured to take necessary action on the petition. The Tamil Nadu Government's milk purchase rates were not as much as expected but the present rates will at least help farmers who are in distress situation".
