The Nilgiris : The Fire and Disaster Management Department provided training for 61 soldiers posted at the Wellington Cantonment. In the training, the soldiers were trained on fire management and rescuing people from debris. The Madras Army Coach, Rajkumar said, "After 20 to 22 years of service, army officials will be posted in rotational training by various Departments according to the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. We approached the Coonoor fire station for Fire Safety and Disaster Management training and they conducted a very effective training session on the same."
