According to the State Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Siva and his associates have been expelled with immediate effect.
A case has been filed against five Vishwa Hindu Parishad Vasanth and four other members for attacking a shopkeeper and asking for a donation to on the eve of Krishna Jayanthi.
The five-member gang had asked for a donation from Siva who owned an electrical shop in the area.
The VHP members allegedly refused to accept Rs. 300 donation made by Siva and attacked him demanding for Rs. 1000. This incident was captured by the CCTV in the shop.
Siva, the victim with the help of the CCTV footage lodged a complaint against attackers in the Uthukkuli Police Station is Tirupur.
The police have registered the case and the investigations are on.
