Coimbatore: A two-day training on 'Value Added Products from Amla' is to be organized at the Centre for Post Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore on August 21 and 22.
Coimbatore: A two-day training on 'Value Added Products from Amla' is to be organized at the Centre for Post Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore on August 21 and 22.
The processing of Amla into various value added products will be covered under this training program. The training includes making of Amla beverages like squash, ready-to-serve, Amla syrup and plain juice. Amla concentrates like jam, dehydrated Amla products, Amla honey, Candy, Supari and Powder processes will also be taught.
Along with this, details for obtaining license for establishing a fruit-processing industry will also be covered. Those interested are requested to pay a training fee of Rs.1770 in person on the first day of the training.
