Coimbatore: A review meeting on Rain Water Harvesting (RWH), led by Sarbeswar Majhi, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries was held at the Corporation Main office on Monday.
Following the meeting, the Deputy Secretary inspected the RWH structures installed at the Corporation office and also inspected the bund of Ukkadam Periyakulam, which is being rejuvenated under the smart city project.
He also visited the Miyawaki patches at Vellalore pond. In addition to this, he inspected the RWH structures created in Corporation schools.
Deputy Commissioner, Prasanna Ramasamy explained to him on RWH structure implemented at Sithanapuram Corporation School located in Ward 99.
Mr. Sarbeswar Majhi also reviewed the RWH structures implemented by Corporates like Residency, Annapoorna hotels and Taj hotel here.
Assistant Commissioner (Central Zone) Mahesh Kanagaraj, Assistant Executive Engineer Saravana Kumar and other officials were present.
