About 30 students attend the school in Vijayapuram, which is eight kilometres away from Muthannakulam in Tirupur. Since there are no bus facilities the students walk the distance to school every day. They have complained that the TASMAC outlet on the way leads to a lot of disturbances as tipplers have occupied the road space.
While they tried to meet the District Collector, they were not allowed inside by the Police posted there.
The students urged the Collector to to close down the TASMAC outlet and introduce regular bus service to their village.
