Coimbatore : Following Kumki Suyambu, Venkatesh, a 33-year-old Kumki elephant working with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department arrived at the Sadivayal Elephant Camp on Sunday.
Coimbatore : Following Kumki Suyambu, Venkatesh, a 33-year-old Kumki elephant working with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department arrived at the Sadivayal Elephant Camp on Sunday.
The elephant that was brought from Kozhikamuthi elephant camp in Topslip arrived at Sadivayal around 5.00 pm.
The new Kumki would be used in anti-depredation activity along with Suyambu. While, Suyambu is a young elephant, Venkatesh is well experienced in handling wild elephant problems in fringe areas in the district.
Kumki Venkatesh was accompanied by mahouts Makali and Prasath.
