Coimbatore: Alandurai police arrested two persons for selling cannabis near the Sri Lankan refugee camp in Puluvapatti, Coimbatore.
In the Sri Lankan refugee camp operating in Puluvapatti, Coimbatore thousands of Sri Lankan Tamils have been accomodated.
Meanwhile, a police team led by Inspector Thangam, Alandurai Police raided the homes of few suspects in the camp.
Police arrested Ragan and Dineshwant who had one kg of cannabis on them for sale and seized it.
Upon further investigation, it was found out that the accused were selling cannabis in the camp near Puluvapatti area. The accused were then produced in court and remanded in custody.
