A private dance school in Tirupur attempted to enter the Asia Book of Records with a complicated dance routine which was performed at a private wedding hall on Mangalam Road in Tirupur. 62 students performed Bharatanatyam and Kolattam for 40 minutes, creating three types of entanglements such as the Uri, Aadi and Vangi during the course of the dance routine.
It is to be noted that a previous record comprised of 40 students performing for 20 minutes which secured their place in the World Book of Records. These 62 students with their 40-minute dance performance have now secured their place in the Asia Book of Records. The certification for the event was issued to the students by the administrators of the Asia Book of Records.
