Ramesh Krishnan takes charge from Soundara Rajan who was serving as the Assistant Commissioner of the Intelligence Unit of the Coimbatore Police until his retirement a few months ago. Vetri Selvan, the Asst. Commissioner of Special Intelligence Unit was overseeing the duties of the Asst. Commissioner of Intelligence Unit.
Ramesh Krishnan was earlier appointed as the Asst. Commissioner of South Zone, Coimbatore. Known for being lauded by senior officials, guards and other policemen while discharging his duties the Asst Commissioner of South Zone, Coimbatore, Ramesh Krishnan is expected to perform well in his new role at the Intelligence Unit.
