Coimbatore: With the 73rd Independence Day being celebrated across the country, the differently abled in the city participated in a cycle rally, even as students of schools and colleges, and employees of various organizations participated in the grand celebrations.
Coimbatore: With the 73rd Independence Day being celebrated across the country, the differently abled in the city participated in a cycle rally, even as students of schools and colleges, and employees of various organizations participated in the grand celebrations.
The cycle rally covered North Coimbatore via Mettupalayam,and Annur till Chinniyampalayam, covering a distance of 100 km. Over 565 participants including two girls, mentally challenged children, the differently abled and public took part in the rally.
"As a tribute to the sacrifices made by the great Indian freedom fighters who fought for our nation and got us our freedom, every Indian should observe Independence Day. We are proud to be born as Indians and take pride in the glory of our Motherland," exulted the differently abled participants.
