Coimbatore: After 15 years, a Rosy Pelican was successfully hatched at VOC Zoo near Nehru Stadium in the city on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: After 15 years, a Rosy Pelican was successfully hatched at VOC Zoo near Nehru Stadium in the city on Wednesday.
The zoo hosts nine Rosy Pelicans exhibits including six males and three females. Of the females, one female hatched two eggs 30 days ago. While one egg was damaged, another egg successfully hatched out a Rosy Pelican.
Such a Rosy Pelican hatchling has been recorded after 15 years in the zoo.
