Coimbatore: A man allegedly in an inebriated state drove his car and rammed on multiple vehicle and a pedestrian before he met with an accident by ramming into to a TNSTC bus, on Wednesday night.
The man who drove the car has been identified as Sundar Prasad. People who witnessed the accident stated that initially he rammed his car bearing number TN 99H 4338 into an auto at Vysial street on the night of Wednesday.
As he did not stop his vehicle, a few of the public and auto drivers chased his overspeeding car which reportedly razed through the narrow streets and headed towards Selvapuram. After knowing he was been chased, the driver further lost control and rammed into a two-wheeler and a pedestrian.
In the process of escaping, the car finally collided with a TNSTC bus at Selvapuram and stopped. The man behind the wheels was pulled out by the public. He reportedly sustained injuires to his head and extremities. The public who witnessed the multiple accidents and finally pulled him.out of the car stated that he was in an inebriated state.
The police have filed a case and are investigating.
