Public from various locations living within the City Corporation limits reached the Corporation office at Town Hall to submit petitions on various basic facilities like drinking water, street lights, road facilities and sanitation.
The Deputy Commissioner, Prasanna Ramasamy presided over the meeting. Out of the 50 petitions, 12 petitions were from east zone, 4 from west zone, 11 from north zone, 3 from south zone and 5 from central zone. The Deputy Commissioner handed over death certificates for two petitioners and tax books for two other petitioners, on the spot. All petitioners were assured of quick action, with the Deputy Commissioner ordering concerned authorities to take immediate action on all the petitions.

Zonal Assistant Commissioners Annadurai, Senthil Kumar Rathinam, Selvan, Mahesh Kanagaraj, Urban Development Officer (Planning), Ravichandran, Executive Engineer Gnanavel, District Welfare Officer Santhosh Kumar, Accounts Officer (Water Distribution Department) Lakshmi Priya, Revenue Officer Manikam, other officials and public were also present at the grievance meeting.
